One of the greatest challenges of Gnomedex is topping the year
before. For Gnomedex 9.0, the Seattle Social Media community has
stepped up to ensure Gnomedex is a success. Together, we hope to
bring a conference that will blow everyone away!
Chris
Pirillo - He's the only one who has attended all Gnomedex
conferences - which is good, considering he's the host and source
of inspiration for the event. Still, Chris can't do everything.
Stuart
Maxwell - He's the go-to person for registration questions
and general Gnomedexery. As a helpful hand for the past few years,
Stuart has become an essential part of the small Gnomedex team.
Without him, the Web site would probably look something straight
out of 1995.
Kat
Armstrong - She's been at Chris's virtual side for a couple
of years now, and is this year's contact with the speakers. She's
coordinating swag, and pitching in with anything Gnomedex in
addition to her normal work. Kat always brings her enthusiasm for
tech to the table - keeping everybody craving seconds. Chris has
admitted many times in the past that he couldn't do what he does
without her.
Jessica Randazza - She's a vibrant connector on
the Seattle social media scene. When we needed help forming
connections to individuals and businesses, Jessica didn't bat an
eyelash. We've been happy to have her aboard, if only for her
intelligent management of relationships.
Shauna
"Superwoman" Causey - She's always been more than willing
to lend a hand with local (Seattle) social media events. There's
probably not an empty slot in her schedule, as it seems that every
other hour Shauna has something going on. We're quite grateful
she's an formidable PR / communications powerhouse.
Ryan
Maloney - He's the guy who stepped forward when Lockergnome
needed a new Web host. When it came time to figure out on-site
management and responsibility delegation, Ryan stepped up to the
plate again. His extensive Seattle-area connections make him as
much a staffer as anybody else.
Liana Shanes -
Liana knows how to make a great party happen, right down to the
little details. A self-proclaimed “busy body, “she has the perfect
mix of technical know-how, business savvy and fun-loving nature.
Speaking of details, Liana knows a thing or two about candles.
Maya
Bisineer - Entrepreneur, writer, mother to young children,
SMC Seattle’s Education Director – these are just a few of the many
hats Maya wears. She gives every one of her roles 110% and it
shows. When she agreed to help us take care of our fantastic
sponsors, we were thrilled!
Ellen
Kwor - Ellen brings to the Gnomedex team her positive
energy and years of experience in communications and networking.
She is currently serving as the Networking Director of BEAN
Seattle. Her role as our Green Liaison is one of the most important
aspect of Gnomedex this year and going forward. Look for updates
from Ellen about our partnership with BrighterPlanet on the “Going
Green” page.
Colleen
Carrington - Colleen understands how important non-profit
partners are to Gnomedex. Being a technology evangelist in the
academic space and a seasoned event planner, she brings the winning
combination of her expertise and outgoing personality to our team.
She’s also been known as the life of the party, having emceed 6
weddings!
Sean
DeButts - Sean has been instrumental to the great success
of Puget Sound Blood Center’s new social media campaign. His
enthusiasm and experience make him the perfect Gnomedex non-profit
team member. He also recently completed his very first skydive.
Michelle Gamboa - Michelle has been Mona’s right
hand woman throughout the Gnomedex planning process, keeping Mona
sane and on schedule, even when it means having to use a Mac! Best
of all, she does it all with style and make work seem like a party
for the whole team. In her spare time, she hijacks Chris Pirillo’s
live stream.
Veronica Sopher -
For Veronica, volunteering on the Gnomedex team is a natural
extension of her work as the Community Director of Social Media
Club Seattle. She loves meeting new people, discovering their
talents and learning about their passions. Much to our delight,
she’s also a fan of gourmet cupcakes and an avid cookie baker!
Mona
Nomura - She's stepped forward and applied her project
management skills to help craft one of the year's most compelling
social media / tech conferences. If there's something that needs to
be done, Mona will make sure it happens.
